Sharks (unlike bony fish) are highly sensitive to electric fields. SharkGuard Pro takes advantage of this sensitivity and produces repeated and strong electric fields that when close by, overstimulate the sharks sensory organs causing them to rapidly and harmlessly swim away. SharkGuard Pro was developed specifically for use in commercial and recreational rod and line fisheries.

SharkGuard Pro automatically activates and begins pulsing when immersed in water. Once removed, it switches off automatically, helping preserve battery life between uses.

Anyone with an electronic or implanted medical device, including a pacemaker or Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), anyone who is pregnant, or anyone with a medical condition that could be affected by electrical currents should consult a qualified medical professional before using or handling SharkGuard.
Contact with an activated SharkGuard in seawater may cause involuntary muscle contractions or spasms. Users should therefore avoid direct contact with SharkGuard while it is activated and submerged.
SharkGuard automatically deactivates when removed from seawater.
